...but not all of them!  As a new resident of Winterville...just 18 months...I've heard the locals talk about a grand annual marigold festival.  It seemed everywhere I went, somehow the topic of this festival would come up.  I was intrigued by the stories and wished I could have experienced this event. Well, in 2009 I can!  Thanks to another new resident, Emily Eisenman, some of the former organizers, and 70+ volunteers, the Winterville Marigold Festival is coming back!

There are still many stories and memories to be shared and now we can put them here for all to enjoy and reminisce.  If you know some of the history of the Marigold Festival that would also be welcomed.

Images can also be uploaded, so if you have a great photo please share it!  If you have a lot of photos, please send them to the webmaster to add to the photo albums.  Be sure to note the year, if you remember it, and the event taking place.

There will be some additional interactive features in the days ahead, such as a calendar of events, forum, live chat, guestbook, guestmap and polls, so keep checking back.
